Forum is text file based. Each forum is multithreaded and stored in a separate text file in the folder db/Forums. All of the forum management should be done via administration page “admin.asp”.The main page “default.asp” lists the threads as they appear in the database (newest on the top of the table) for the forum selected from the drop-down list. The thread represented by the new (root) message posted to the forum. As people post replies to the threads, the “Replies:” and “Last Post:” fields will change reflecting total number of replies and the last date posted respectively. This table can by sorted. The sort function is done on the client and works only with IE. The thread links will change color as new messages posted. Links will open viewpost.asp where entire thread is expanded. A selected message is pasted to the display window as well as to the reply text box. The admin.asp page allows you to: -Create and delete forums -Archive forums based on the date stamp. -Change admin ID and password. -Delete or modify messagesYou can either delete or modify messages. If you delete a message, all the messages that are direct or indirect replies to this message will be deleted. And that is making sense, since otherwise, messages will become orphan.
